Office / Services / Fractional CTO
CV-CTO / Fractional leadership
A CTO for the operational problems behind the technology.
A fractional CTO gives an owner or board access to senior technology and process judgement without committing to a full-time technology leadership hire.
Within Curavest, this is one of several complementary services focused on helping operational businesses improve performance and make better technology decisions.
01 Diagnose
Where the business is losing performance. The starting point may be a slow quoting process, inconsistent production, poor visibility, duplicated administration or a team that has reached its limit.
We trace the process from beginning to end to find where work waits, information is lost, responsibility becomes unclear, people compensate manually, a system creates friction, or the stated problem is only a symptom.
02 Redesign
The right fix may be operational rather than technical. A quote turnaround once taking two to three hours was reduced to an average of fifteen minutes by addressing two issues: requests were unmanaged in a shared inbox, and ownership was divided between several people.
A tool then automated most of the quote. The tool alone was not the solution. Assigning one person responsibility from beginning to end was just as important.
03 Decide where technology belongs
Technology is considered in the context of the process it is meant to improve.
- Automate repetitive work.
- Improve the flow of information.
- Connect systems that operate separately.
- Create more reliable management reporting.
- Use AI to review, classify or surface useful information.
- Build practical solutions from existing systems.
- Select new software when it is justified.
It may also mean choosing not to automate because the cost, risk or complexity outweighs the benefit.
04 Oversee delivery
Recommendations do not improve a business. Changes that people can use do. We stay involved while the fix is tested, adjusted and introduced into everyday work, until it is understood, measurable and owned by the people who will run it.

Not included — on purpose
A preselected platform
A generic transformation framework
A requirement to introduce AI
